Configuring D-Link GLB-502T ADSL 2+ Router for BSNL DataOne Broadband
Configuring the Router:
- Go to Control Panel > Network Connections
- Right click Local Area Network and select properties
Connecting to the Internet:
A. Using Bridge connection
- Open Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1/ in the address bar
- Type "admin" for both username and password
- Navigate to Setup > WAN Setup > New Connection
- Select connection type as "Bridge" from the dropdown menu
- NAME: Any name of your choice (e.g. BSNL Broadband)
- VPI: 0
- VCI: 35
- Leave other settings as it is
- Click
- Go to TOOLS > System Commands > Save All
- Close Internet Explorer
- Go to Control Panel > Network Connections
- Select 'Create a new Connection'
- Select 'Connect to Internet' then
- Select 'Setup my connection manually' then
- Select 'Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password' then
- Type in the ISP name (anything like "BSNL" or "DataOne" etc)
- Give the username and password provided to by BSNL
- Click
- Now Double click on the newly created connection; then click connect
- Now you should have active internet connection
- Open Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1/ in the address bar
- Type "admin" for both username and password
- Navigate to Setup > WAN Setup > New Connection
- Select connection type as PPPoE from the drop down menu
- NAME: any name you like, VPI: 0, VCI: 35
- fill-up the username and password fields with the username and password provided to you.
- Click
- Go to TOOLS > System Commands > Save All, then click
- Now the router will be restarted
- Now all four lights of the router should glow
- Check if you can connect to the internet
